Pardon Our Dust . . .
Hello! Alex Gordon Radio is currently undergoing some changes (for the better). This will hopefully explain the delay with Episode 5. Right now we are in the process of becoming a non-profit corporation complete with a president, vice president, employees and a board of directors. Now this kind of stuff is really neat and fun but it's also time-consuming and a little distracting. Once all of these factors are in place, we will be back in full swing and popping out new episodes on a regular basis again. Take into account that what you have heard from Alex Gordon Radio so far has been done primarily by one person (with some very important help from a generous web designer and a lovingly supportive wife as well as all the young contributors) so what we are hoping for with the non-profit status is to have funding, which can lead to more help and thus, more episodes!
Creatively speaking, we still have that Bob Dorough (Schoolhouse Rock) interview to unleash and we just returned from recording at a school in Pennsylvania so Alex Gordon Radio is definitely still happening!

Episode 4 is online!!!!!
1, 2, 3 . . . 4!!!
YES!!!!!! Episode 4 of Alex Gordon Radio is finished and has been posted for your listening pleasure. Some VERY cool things going on in this episode. Recently, we've had the incredibly good fortune of meeting with some young people from all over the world. They were nice enough to sit down with us and share some information about their homelands. Korea, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, just to name a few. What a treat!! We have a few young musicians sharing their talents with us this episode, as well, playing compositions they've written themselves. We LOVE when that happens! Tips on making paper airplanes, the debut of Zoe's segment called All Around The World, a song about the United Nations, a new Joe Pipefitter and a sneak peak at our Bob Dorough (Schoolhouse Rock) interview can also be heard in Episode 4. Have a listen and thanks for supporting the imagination of young people EVERYWHERE!

Alex Gordon Radio meets Schoolhouse Rock!

We recently went to Pennsylvania and met with Bob Dorough, musical director of Schoolhouse Rock!!! That's right! The main man, himself! Bob actually wrote all of the Multiplication Rock songs and quite a few of the others including, "Conjunction Junction", "Lolly Lolly Lolly Get Your Adverbs Here" and "Electricity, Electricity". Bob was gracious enough to sit down with Alex Gordon Radio at a library in the Poconos and give us the inside scoop on the origins of some of our favorite Schoolhouse Rock songs. Being someone who grew up watching Schoolhouse Rock on Saturday morning television, I have to say that the whole interview experience was AWESOME!!!!! We are SO appreciative of Bob's time and we had an absolute blast.
Alex Gordon Radio would also like to thank Brandon Flatley for his coordination efforts in finding us some willing young people to conduct the interview and an extra-special thanks to Abby and Dominic for conducting the interview. Look for parts of this interview to begin surfacing in Episode 5 of Alex Gordon Radio.

Episode 3 is here!
The third episode of Alex Gordon Radio has been uploaded and I must say there are some very exciting things in the new installment. We have new segments of "5X Fast", Mike's "Justin Thyme" and Comedy Station which was created and written by our friends Maddie, Brianna and Iris. Joe Pipefitter (who debuted in the first episode of AGR) returns as he defuses more tomfoolery at the hands of Juicebox Charlie and we are thrilled to be introducing a new character to Alex Gordon Radio: the esteemed Professor Lindsey Pumpernickel whose unequivocal problem solving skills will take listeners around the world, to some of the most exotic places on earth. Joined in each segment by trusted The Think Tank Team and his mechanical duck, Desmond, Professor Pumpernickel has humbly vowed to answer each and every question in the world.
Stay tuned for some more exciting things in Episode 4 and remember: if you are 18 or under and have something to say, Alex Gordon Radio wants to hear from you! We will record anyone, anywhere, anytime. Thank you.

"Live" Recording Coming Up!
Hello. On Friday February 27, Alex Gordon Radio will be doing a live onsite recording session at BB Bistro in Annapolis, MD. We'll set up around 3 or so and get rolling about 3:30pm and wrap it up at 6 or so. Come on out and watch how we record and be recorded yourself. If you've got a story, you can read it. If you've got a poem, you can read it. If you want to jump on the microphone and just say "hi", you can do that too. We will be recording some live board game action as well so if you want to be a game player or a commentator then come on out. Anyone under 18 years old is welcome to have a go.
Remember, Alex Gordon Radio proudly NEVER uses auditions so you WILL be on a broadcast if you want to be on one. You don't have to jump through hoops to impress us - just being yourself is special enough for us here at Alex Gordon Radio.

Episode 2 almost ready
Hello. I'm currently putting together our second full episode of Alex Gordon Radio and I have to say that I am very excited to be doing so! As we go along from episode to episode, listeners will notice some familiar items that will be mainstays of every broadcast and then some always new and surprising elements.
I'm very interested in pursuing and showcasing more interviews and discussions between young people. In light of this, Episode 2 features an interview with Marissa, who talks about her recent experience helping out at a veterinary clinic. Mary and Matilda discuss the unfortunate selection of food in their school's cafeteria. Our friend Mike brought in an awesome idea recently for a show called "Justin Thyme (To Answer Your Questions)" about a call-in radio show where the host isn't always as smart as he'd like to think he is. This can be heard for the first time in our new upcoming broadcast. We also are very excited to have a new segment from Erica, who shares her "Fun Ideas" for curing boredom with listeners.
We also have a new "5 X Fast" and another episode of Lazy Susan for your listening pleasure.
